All you need is love

This work is inspired by Arthur Schopenhauer, he said“Life swings like a pendulum backward and forward between pain and boredom.” Humans suffer from dissatisfaction but feel boring when desire is fulfilled. The two characters in the painting appear as a contrast between desire and purity. The background refers to the constant mechanical production of goods that sell desire under capitalism, just like modern love which is easily quantified and fast.
